120 architects and architectural firms from different regions of Russia took part in the competition, which took place from June 1 to September 1, 2014. It was organized by the KNAUF CIS Group. Participants' projects were considered by a competent jury in three nominations: "Knauf materials in the interiors of residential buildings", "Knauf materials in the interiors of public buildings" and "Facade systems KNAUF - AQUAPANEL" … As a result of the competition, 15 winners were selected, as the main prize received a certificate for a trip to the World Festival of Architecture, which took place on September 29 - October 5 this year in Singapore. Another 5 winners were awarded with Apple iPad mini tablets.

Nomination "Knauf materials in the interiors of residential buildings"
Apartment in Borisoglebsky lane in Moscow.
Architect: Maxim Shvets
The design project of a private apartment with a total area of 240 m2 was made using an interesting combination of wood, porcelain stoneware and plaster. The harmonious color scheme in brown and white visually adds volume to the room. I must say that the feeling of "scope" is the main feature of this interior. The creation of such an atmosphere is also facilitated by competent zoning: a large and bright living room, a block of bedrooms and a kitchen with a dining room.

House by a mountain stream in Krasnaya Polyana.
Architects: Yuri Zubenko, Olga Shcherbakova
The house stands in a dense forest. The stream flowing right under the windows becomes the conceptual and energetic center of the project. The design is based on the surrounding nature. So, the green grass in the interior symbolizes a warm carpet, the graphics of trunks and branches are reflected in the roof structures and the openwork interweaving of furniture lines, the folds of thick English curtains echo the image of a mountain river cascade, and the fireplace made of river boulders resembles natural mountain slopes. The interior is built on the contrast of pastel-ash tones inside the building and bright greenery outside the window.
Knauf materials have been used in the construction of walls, ceilings and partitions. The use of KNAUF materials was due to the fact that the house was completely rebuilt and expanded.

Interiors of the regional cardiovascular rehabilitation center in Voronezh. Architect: Alexandra Sizintseva
The concept of the architectural complex is based on the idea of human connection with his natural habitat. That is why there is so much greenery in its large atrium, and from the hall of the residential block there is a view of the covered greenhouse, which functionally replaces the daytime room. The selected structural system, correctly selected building materials from Knauf, coupled with laconic finishing, supported the chosen concept of the project.

Design project of the shopping center "Europark".
Architect: Anna Akisheva
The idea to create a corner of nature right in the shopping center was embodied in the Europark project. The preference was given to eco-style, which combines natural purity and advanced technologies and involves the use of natural materials in the decoration. Based on this, HPL panels, imitating wood, and porcelain stoneware, similar to natural stone, were chosen. The ceilings are made of plasterboard in combination with a cube-shaped lath for wood. A large number of living plants revive the interior.
Application of Knauf materials:
All partitions are made of KNAUF sheet. In places with high humidity - from moisture resistant KNAUF sheet. On the escape routes, fire-resistant and fire-moisture resistant KNAUF-sheet was used. Internal cement board AQUAPANEL was used for wall cladding. For the finishing of the ceiling, a KNAUF ceiling sheet was used, for the installation, a KNAUF ceiling profile was used.
Nomination "Facade systems KNAUF-AQUAPANEL"
A complex of 9-storey residential buildings of the Ergom2etrika series.
Architect: Sasha Lukich
The goal of the project is to create a comfortable environment that would meet modern environmental requirements, following the example of high housing standards in Scandinavia. This idea is read in the external appearance of buildings, and in the improvement of courtyards, and in a more "humane" layout of apartments. So, the author of the project proposes to reduce the area of the corridors to 6-8%, to provide for a division into "active" and "quiet" zones, as well as provide all residents with access to spacious glazed balconies, where you can arrange garden furniture. The first floors of the houses are dedicated to storage and commercial functions.
The houses are designed with a monolithic reinforced concrete frame. The enclosing structures of the first floors are made of expanded clay concrete block with a hinged facade from the outer KNAUF-AQUAPANEL.

The building site is located in Moscow at the intersection of Kosmonavtov Avenue and Mashinostroiteley Street. It is proposed to build a complex here, finished with the "KNAUF AQUAPANEL Outside Wall" system, which will create a bright and modern image. The roof of the building is in use: there is a separate parking for the visitors of the store.

Individual residential building in Zhukovka. Architect: Alexey Nekrasov
For the interior decoration of the residential building, which is a classic 4-storey building with a basement, natural stone, wood, metal, decorative plaster, gypsum boards and KNAUF partitions were used. This combination of materials and soft warm colors has created luxurious interiors. Knauf materials were also used outside - the Knauf "Warm Wall" system, etc.

The interiors of the Vodny Stadium shopping and business complex.
Architect: Vera Butko
The interior of the complex, divided into two functional zones - office and retail - corresponds to the architecture style of the building itself, becoming its reflection and continuation. The facade glazing of the office tower, together with the lamellas, seems to pass through the roof of the horizontal block and continues inside the complex. The trading space is formed by curved flow surfaces. The center of the composition is the image of a "boat" braided by a staircase. The functional link between the retail and office areas is provided by a bridge on the upper floor with a food court. The place of "docking" is accentuated by the arch of the exit from the elevator in bright red color - the same as the outer entrance to the tower part of the complex.
