The City of Kristall quarter is being created in a park area on the eastern bank of the Yauza, on the territory of the former Kristall plant. The flagship of the project should be an art cluster and loft apartments of three categories: a loft "with a patio", a loft "compact" and a loft "attic". The jury selected the best design project for each of these types.

A special feature of this loft is the basement with a pit located in front of it, to which there is a separate entrance. The jury noted the excellent work with the space, which was fully revealed here as clean, bright, taking into account the historical value of the building and the attributes of a real loft - brick walls, Monier vaults and the special aesthetics of the place. On the lower level there is a bedroom with a bathroom, above - a kitchen and a living room. To organize the space, a minimum number of partitions were used - exclusively to isolate private areas. This made it possible to "bring" the sunlight as deep as possible into the interior.

A distinctive feature of this loft is its small area: only 57 m2. The winning project was chosen for the most logical layout: several functional areas were allocated there, but at the same time the open plan characteristic of lofts was preserved. In the decoration of the walls and floor, the authors decided to use natural wood: it is proposed to make doors, partitions and the kitchen from it. The principle of "overflow" of space is applied: from the entrance begins the wardrobe, which goes into the kitchen and living room. The bedroom is separated from the main space by two wooden doors. If you close them, it becomes autonomous, and at the same time the doors form a single wall.

As conceived by the architects, about half of the loft is designed as a huge double-height space, and all functional areas are built into a separate three-level volume, connected by a spiral staircase. On the first level, there is the main room - the living room, as well as the kitchen, hallway and bathroom. On the second is the nursery. On the third - a bedroom with a large open bathroom.
