The building of the branch of the State Hermitage is planned to be built at ZIL in 2019. There will be exhibitions of contemporary and contemporary art, educational initiatives are planned: circles, internal and external (with its own entrance from the street) lecture halls. The area of overground floors (there will be 15) of this building will be about 10,000 m2, investments - about 4 billion rubles. According to Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage Museum, he has known Hani Rashid for a long time and discussed a lot with him on the topic of contemporary museum architecture.
According to Khani Rashid, the building of the museum, in particular, the solution of its interior space is inspired by El Lissitzky's “prouns” and Russian landscape painting of the 19th century.
The 150-meter tower will become, according to the LSR Group developers,
the architectural dominant of the ZIL Central Boulevard. The lower part of the building will house offices and shops, higher - apartments with a total area of 32,000 m2. The construction period is the beginning of 2016 - 2017. In his interview to Archi.ru, Hani Rashid said that the image of this project is associated with the works of the constructivist Gustav Klutsis and the industrial heritage of ZIL.
