The only one on the Russian market manufacturer of "invisible" hatches – company "PATTEK" - based on the results of 10 months of 2015, increased profit by 300% compared to the previous year. According to the owner of the company, Petr Ivanov, the decisive growth factor was the high characteristics of the products combined with the optimal pricing policy and a well-organized motivational program for customers. Today, among PATTEKA's clients are corporations that are extremely demanding in terms of the quality of services - Sberbank, CROCUS INTERNATIONAL, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (MGIMO) and others.
Innovation and new businesses are sometimes the result of random circumstances. Born in Murmansk, but having lived in the United States for 15 years, Pyotr Ivanov decided to come to Russia and do business here - in the hope that there are much more chances in his historical homeland. Once driving a taxi along a Moscow street, he found himself in a rather ordinary situation - the car hit the wheel in an open well. “It was a pity for the lost time and nerves,” recalls Peter, “but it gave me serious food for thought. In the improvement of Russian roads, I saw a huge niche for the use of my powers. It quickly became clear that this, let's say, is not the easiest market, and only a beginner who has offered something fundamentally new will have a chance to make money on it."
Ivanov found the niche pretty quickly. Invisible sewer manholes "sewn" into the soil. The idea of disguising the manhole cover as the surface around it is not new. In many countries, Recessed manhole covers have been in use for a long time. Having studied foreign experience, the specialists of the PATTEK company founded by Peter Ivanov have developed and patented their own unique design, designed for the specifics of operation and climatic features of Russia, - manholes for inspection wells manufactured under TORSAR trademark … The production is located in the Moscow region.
It turned out to be quite difficult to break through immediately into the suppliers of federal and municipal road improvement, so Ivanov concentrated his efforts on local operators of private territories who care about their customers not in words, but in deeds. “We were lucky enough to quickly convince the owner of one of the cottage settlements near Moscow that our hatches will not only give a new quality aesthetics to the appearance of the paths and streets of the village, but are also absolutely safe. No one will ever fall into our hatch under any circumstances, no one can steal our hatch for scrap metal, since the bulk of the cover's mass falls on the filler. At the same time, they are easy to maintain: one person can lift the lid using a special lift."
Among the advantages of PATTEC products, one can also note the fact that the massive (much heavier than the cast-iron) thick cover does not spring under the wheels of a fast-moving heavy vehicle. It cannot be turned over and cannot be covered "not completely": the gap between the edges of the cover and the walls of the hatch base is minimal. The slot is closed with a chemically resistant gasket made using the Anti-Freeze technology, which prevents the lid from jamming and freezing in the cold season.
TOPCAP standard "road" hatches are easy to install. They are installed on a concrete pad so that their top edges are flush with the projected road surface. The covers are filled with asphalt and rolled at the same time as the roadbed. The design can withstand loads of up to 25 tons and is suitable for most highways and streets. In cases of particularly heavy traffic, heavy main hatches of the TM type (according to the classification of the interstate standard GOST 3634-99), designed for 40 tons, are used. All products have successfully passed certification tests.
The manufacturer provides a five-year warranty on the hatches. For the convenience of the operating services, the marking of hatches according to generally accepted rules is applied to special plastic plugs directly on the surface of the hatches themselves.
TORSAR filling hatches open up new opportunities for architects and designers of urban areas. For installation in pedestrian areas, in courtyards and driveways, the design of the covers provides for filling them not only with asphalt, but even with paving stones and paving slabs. As a result of laying the pavement elements in accordance with the general paving pattern, the hatches practically merge with the surface of the sidewalks and footpaths. On the other hand, the architect has the opportunity to “play” with the paving options and the color of the hatch filling and visually highlight it without raising it above the surface.
Invisible hatches are also of great interest for landscape designers when performing landscaping in a city and suburban construction. After all, the covers are designed, among other things, for filling with turf with lawn grass. In this case, the hatches become completely invisible and organically integrate into the landscaping areas. Thus, engineering networks do not violate the harmony of the natural environment. Wells can only be found if you have a detailed communications plan in your hands. Special series of products are designed for installation on surfaces with an inclination angle of 15 to 45 degrees.
TORSAR inflated hatches are produced in a wide range: from light polyethylene (types L and LM), withstanding a load of one and a half tons, to heavy main-line type TM. Invisible hatches have many advantages over traditional ones. They are, in particular, very strong and durable. Housings and box-shaped covers of round or rectangular shape, made (depending on the purpose of the model) from black, combined or stainless steel, plastic or cast iron, are reinforced with stiffeners and are able to withstand extreme loads for a long time.
Invisible hatches TORSAR is a technology that gives architectural integrity and aesthetic value to urban planning objects, roads, urban and suburban residential and public complexes.
After several cottage settlements, several corporations that are owners and operators of rather large territories drew attention to the products of PATTEC. Several dozen TORSAR hatches were installed on the territory of the Institute of International Relations of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, CROCUS International, the corporate university of Sberbank of Russia, used innovative products. “Indeed, discerning customers understand that high-quality comfort is comfort even in such trifles as road hatches,” says Petr Ivanov, “but we have no doubt that this understanding will gradually move to a more widespread level.”
Already today, TOPCAP hatches have been included in the projects of several dozen local territories - cottage villages, park zones, shopping and entertainment complexes in several regions of Russia. Thanks to an effective motivation program developed by the company, both private architects and large management companies turn to Ivanov. The product line of TORSAR hatches allows consumers with different budgetary options to use innovative technologies.
“We do not just make volume discounts,” notes Petr Ivanov, “we give our customers a new qualitative understanding of how the latest road construction technologies can save money on construction and maintenance of territories. Because in the 21st century there can be no trifles in real comfort."
