As part of the new design developments, the administration of the city of Brest, Belarus, decided to conduct a deeper study of the prospects for the development of sustainable construction and develop a project “Energy efficient residential module in the city of Brest”.

Within the framework of the international student competition "Designing the ISOVER Multi-Comfort House", the company annually attracts future architects and construction industry professionals to solve architectural and design problems and forms their environmentally responsible thinking. This year's assignment, prepared by the Saint-Gobain company in cooperation with the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the city of Brest, has become very relevant. The contestants will have to develop environmentally friendly architectural projects in accordance with the theme “Energy efficient residential module in Brest” for integration into the urban space, taking into account the requirements of the “ISOVER Multi-Comfort House” concept, climatic conditions and regional characteristics of the city.
Students of architecture and construction universities from 1 to 6 courses from any region of Russia can participate in the competition. Both individual and team (up to 3 people) works are accepted. One team can submit no more than one project to the competition. A mandatory criterion is the use of energy-efficient materials ISOVER in the project. The jury will evaluate both the functional concept and the approach to project preparation in terms of sustainability in terms of economic, environmental and social aspects.
The competition "Designing the ISOVER Multi-Comfort House - 2016" is held in two stages. In April 2016, the final of the national stage will take place in Russia, and in May - the final of the international competition in Brest.
The teams that take 1st, 2nd and 3rd places at the international final will receive not only invaluable experience, but also a cash prize of € 1,500, € 1,000 and € 750, respectively. The winners of the national stage will also receive valuable prizes.
This year, the official partner of the national stage of the competition is GRAPHISOFT, which will award a Special Prize in a separate nomination - Apple iPad Air (Wi-Fi + Cellular 32 GB) + BIMX PRO License.
