In the German city of Ennegfelden, the new headquarters of BRUNNER, a world-renowned manufacturer of stoves, fireplaces, boilers and heating equipment, appeared. The complex consists of two buildings - office and industrial - with a total area of 4500 sq. m. When creating the facades of both sites, the architects faced a non-trivial task: they had to find a minimalistic solution that would emphasize the values of the company. As a result, the experts opted for the ROCKPANEL stone wool cladding slabs from ROCKWOOL.
Today, at the headquarters in Bavaria, all stages of the creation and sale of BRUNNER products take place. The new premises house showrooms, research laboratories, a warehouse, a sales area and a training center. The company's values - concern for the future, closeness to nature, a combination of tradition and innovation - are reflected in the appearance of both buildings. The cladding panels ROCKPANEL Natural helped in this, which have a unique feature: over time, under the influence of the sun, wind and other atmospheric conditions, they change their color from a natural woody to a dark saturated shade characteristic of Corten steel.
“Finishing materials look truly organic only if they perfectly match the surrounding space and climatic conditions. That is, it was necessary to find a solution that, like a classic wooden facade, will only get better over time under the influence of atmospheric phenomena,”says architect, Professor Markus Frank.
As the managing director of the contractor company admitted, the specialists were amazed at the ease of installation of the ROCKPANEL. The panels are made of stone wool, which gives them strength, but at the same time, it is as easy to work with the products as with wood, and the tools are the same - no additional devices are needed. The panels are resistant to moisture, so neither the surface, nor the cut edges, nor the fixing points needed to be sealed.
The contractor was so inspired by the positive experience that he decided to use ROCKPANEL Colors for cladding the elevated walkway between the office and production buildings. The rich dark gray color perfectly matches the warm brown tones of the two buildings.
