In 2015, the II All-Russian Competition ArchNovation was held. One of the objects shortlisted for the award was the new Ufa fitness club Zorge Fitness. An unusual façade, created with the use of ROCKPANEL Woods series panels, helped the property to take part in the struggle for the prestigious award.
The original project was developed by the workshop of D. A. Winckelmann at the request of the Vulcan group of companies. The architects were looking for a solution that would emphasize the idea of closeness to nature and at the same time satisfy the customer's requirements for the durability and anti-vandalism of facade materials. These criteria are fully met by the stone wool panels ROCKPANEL Woods with a Beech pattern that follows the structure of the tree.
“Zorge Fitness was the first facility where we used the ROCKPANEL facade solution from ROCKWOOL,” says Dmitry Aleksandrovich Vinkelman, chief architect of the project. “We used this wonderful material to highlight a number of external elements of the facade and basement. He, like all other products of the company, fully met our expectations. And the fact that the object was shortlisted for such a prestigious award as ArchNovation is perhaps the best assessment of our work."
ROCKPANEL Woods combines the strength and beauty of natural wood with the durability and fire safety of stone wool. Due to their light weight, the panels are simple and easy to install. To work with them, you do not need special tools, and you can cut the facing material right on the construction site, adjusting it to the desired parameters of the facade. The panels are protected by a special Protect Plus coating, which makes them self-cleaning: dirt will simply be washed off with rainwater. The coating also improves the UV resistance, which significantly extends the life of the façade.
