For twenty years Arch Moscow has been holding its positions as the main architectural exhibition of the capital, and in some respects, of the country. They are waiting for the exhibition, they are preparing for it all spring. Let's try to tell you about what the curators of "Arch of Moscow" have prepared for the audience and listeners this year. Many of them are already almost permanent, for example, Bart Goldhorn, founder of Project Russia magazine and curator of the exhibition since 2006. Now he proposed the theme "Architecture and Life", by analogy with "Science and Life" - there is fashionable retrostalgia, and a hint of a crisis that makes proud architects turn to face life, and God knows what else. Elena Gonzalez responded to the theme with an exposition dedicated to the relationship between architecture and society, whose flag was Alejandro Aravena. The co-curator Ruben Arakelyan, who was appointed last year, promises to show off the working life of his bureau in live mode. So, what can you do at Arch Moscow with a solid number XXI, aka Biennale of Architecture number V?

Swiss villages-ziedlungs are a unique phenomenon, they are similar to the workers' settlements of the 1920s, but not only have survived to our time and live, but also new ones appear, quietly demonstrating to the world the features of Swiss collectivism, viable, but not suppressing individuality. The Ziedlungs are being built with the participation of architects, but completely without developers and without profit. The curators of the project - architecture photographer Yuri Palmin and researcher Elena Kossovskaya, show an exhibition of photographs of Swiss Ziedlungs and offer the attention of listeners interested in the topic, two lectures and a round table. The conference is a serious discussion of regional practices, which, as the organizers are convinced, should update the boring methods of the capital's development. It will take place all day on Thursday 19th May. Speeches are planned for representatives of various regional projects, including those who will come specially to Arch Moscow for this. Attendance at the conference is paid, 4500 rubles, tickets sold on the project website and on the website of the Arch of Moscow, and includes entrance to all exhibitions of the festival. The project of the creative group ArchGarazh - "Anti-Consumption Architecture". Here, visitors will be shown the concept and implementation of Ecohouse, as well as introduced to its philosophy: simplicity, rationality, economy, the ability to replace a cramped urban cell for a family with an average income. Ecohouse is opposed to the world of expensive status items. It doesn't matter if it is architecture, interior items or any other objects of consumption. The idea of the project clearly demonstrates one of the themes announced at the Biennale - the architecture of survival in an era of crisis.
