Gypsum has an acidity similar to that of human skin. Plaster-based materials, like a high-quality air humidifier, are able to maintain a favorable microclimate in the room: absorb excess moisture and release it if there is a lack. And, of course, this unique material meets the increased requirements of fire safety, heat, sound insulation and strength characteristics of structures in accordance with international certification standards.

From March 1, 2015, the KNAUF group of companies switched to the production of Knauf gypsum boards (gypsum building boards) in accordance with the new GOST 32614-2012 (EN 520 2009). The new GOST is a logical development of GKL / GSP production technologies and their application. The most important change is the increase in the number of types of slabs and specific requirements for each of them. This allows one or another type of slab to be used in conditions where the GSP will perform its function most effectively. The ability to combine different types in one product further expands the range of applications. In addition to the standard, moisture-resistant or fire-resistant GSPs already familiar to many, the line was supplemented by hydro-windproof sheets for frame-type external walls, as well as plates with increased strength and surface hardness. In order to easily navigate this variety of types of Knauf sheets, a unique color scheme for the appearance and labeling of products has been developed, which has become the company's business card.
Now the Knauf list will meet the requirements for manufacturers, not only in the CIS countries, but also in the European Union, since the new GOST32614-2012 is fully harmonized with the European standard EN 520: 2009.
The materials produced by the Knauf company, in addition to the highest quality, are also distinguished by innovation. So, all production enterprises of the KNAUF CIS group switched to the production of gypsum plasterboard sheets with a semicircular thinned edge (PLUK), as its main type. The seams formed during the installation of Knauf sheets with a semicircular thinned edge are easier to putty. Only such an edge makes it possible to seal the seams between sheets without using a reinforcing tape when using high-strength Knauf-Uniflot putty.
