Eiburg now consists of six reclaimed islands. In the future, it is planned to build four more. The islands are connected by the main street IJburglaan. Eiburg is connected with the center of Amsterdam by a tram line, the journey time is only 16 minutes.

The typology of development is varied and is represented by sectional, individual and block, as well as floating residential buildings.

As you move around the island, the principles of shaping are constantly changing, which avoids the feeling of monotony.

On one of the plots directly on the shore of Lake Ei, the specialists of the Bureau Inarchitecten have designed and built a dwelling house for a family with three children of a rather original architecture.

In the agency Inarchitecten, the organization of the internal space of the object is taken as the main design criterion. The “inside-out” principle shapes the architecture of the building, giving it a unique and unique look. Appearance, of course, is also important, but still it is the logical completion of the internal layout.

Basic principles: ambiguity, originality and courage. According to the architects, this combination should result in an interesting modern architecture that maximizes the wishes of the client.

In the project of this private house, the authors tried to combine two facades with different stories. One - facing the street and the other, overlooking the water surface of Lake Ey.

The result is a three-storey house by the water, on the shore of the lake, with a built-in garage on the street side.

For the overall solution of the facade, the architects chose EQUITONE fiber cement panels in the color of wet dark gray stone. The laconic nature of the material and the ability to cut contribute to the implementation of the difficult ideas of the authors of the project. Cutting fiber cement into narrow slats and its lively texture help the house fit into a harmonious natural environment, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing holiday with your family.

The facade from the street side turned out to be rather closed, with blank outer walls and small window openings. The windows of children's bedrooms overlooking this facade are additionally equipped with shutters, protecting their inhabitants from bright sunlight, noise and prying eyes. The shutters are made of the same EQUITONE fiber cement boards as the cladding of the entire building.

The idea of the layout of this small house was conceived in such a way as to provide the owners with the maximum opportunity to admire the views of the water. It is fully embodied on the southern, "lake" facade, facing the water. The most spectacular panorama opens from the third floor loggia.
