- We published three projects of your diploma studio in MARSH, but the concept of a "white elephant" did not appear there. When did you come up with it?
- The image was born during a discussion with students. Before the concept of "white elephant" the name "apricot" appeared. A once ripe apricot that has lost its vitality. However, this is not death, it is a new life in a different state, "born twice." Such symbolism is a longevity medicine for objects. While dying functionally, they remain historically important to the city.
Student projects are smart and thoughtful in their own way, but they have a certain, let's say, ease of being and fantasizing. Helpful for the development of a young mind, it then faces reality. What methods of keeping the "white elephant" do you consider real, what can you actually do positively with them?
- Realistically reprogram and find new meaning.
How did your graduates settle down, those whose works will make up the exhibition, what do they do?
- Just a few days ago, graduates had a graduation ceremony at the MARCH school. One of them now works for us.
Will there really be a white elephant at the exhibition, like in the picture?
- Of course, the truth only fit a huge head.
