Chancery Lane, on the City border, has a historical connection with legalists; its very name comes from the Chancellor's Court located there, and there are still law firms around. The larger ones, however, gradually moved to skyscrapers, but a younger generation of professionals took the place of mature specialists. With the expectation of new tenants and were reconstructed houses numbered from 79th to 86th Chancery Lane. Behind meticulously restored Victorian facades, Orms has housed 4,645 m2 of offices (pre-leased to the Bar) and five one and two bedroom apartments. After the renovation, a fifth, "attic" floor of 760 m2 was added to the four existing floors, overlooking Lincoln's Inn Fields Square.
The most notable part of the new complex is Chichester Rentals, cutting it between 83 and 84. During the previous renovation, in 1990, "bridges" were thrown over it to connect the buildings flanking it; it itself was not a very pleasant, but still a popular public space, where office workers relaxed at lunchtime.
The bridges have now been replaced by a stepped sculpted volume clad in "faceted" panels of anodized aluminum; The walls overlooking the alley received terracotta profiles, reminiscent of the historic faience decor removed in 1990. On the ground floor level, Chichester Rentals now liven up shop windows, two large and three smaller, transforming it into a small arcade. Their area is 700 m2.
Chancery Lane, 79–86, claims the BREEAM Excellent eco-certificate. Its total area is 5,340 m, budget - 13 million pounds.
