If your customer decided to build a house made of wood and you have a concept-sketch, but you are not very interested in developing structures and assemblies, spending hours at a construction site so that the house turns out the way it was intended, then go to GOOD WOOD.
Once the founder of the company, Alexander Dubovenko, decided to build a house of wood for his family. Anyone who has ever done this will easily guess what happened next: putting aside all other matters, Alexander plunged headlong into the construction site. And when the house was finally built, its owner, instead of being relieved to forget about everything, decided to convert the experience gained into a business strategy: understanding what the customer really needs, what is “wrong” at our construction sites, and - how to set up an efficient process. This is how a company appeared with completely different approaches to the construction of individual houses.
Today GOOD WOOD is not only the construction of wooden houses, it is a modern automated production of laminated veneer lumber, design and architectural design departments, project managers, technical supervision engineers and maintenance specialists. The company started working directly with customers of wooden houses, now it also cooperates with architects who can implement their concept or project with the help of its specialists.
What does a customer, or an architect-customer, receive when he comes to GOOD WOOD?
Consulting
An independent architect begins to be helped at the very first stages of project development. Here you can discuss both a sketch concept and a working project, analyze the technological possibilities of its implementation and, if necessary, discuss a list of adjustments that the architect can make on his own or with the help of colleagues from GOOD WOOD. The purpose of these adjustments is to preserve the original author's idea and quickly build a house by laying down the optimal technological solutions.
Personal Area
With the beginning of construction, the architect, as you know, has a headache called "author's supervision"; get rid of it by a personal manager and a personal account, which can be entered from the site. If the personal manager knows everything about the project, then the personal account opens access to documents and clearly structured data: project documentation, discussion protocols, photo reports from the construction site, technical supervision checklists, and in addition, provides the opportunity to communicate directly with any participant in the process.
The personal account is regularly updated with information on the progress of construction, helps to track the progress of work and, solving some of the issues remotely, less often visit the construction site.
An important role in remote control is assigned to detailed photo reports - pictures of nodes, complex places and structural elements appear in your personal account every three days. After analyzing the information from your personal account, you can orient yourself in advance, understand what you need to pay attention to during the next trip to the site.
However, if you have a desire to come to the construction site every day, there are no restrictions - come as often as you think is necessary.
Information from the personal account will be stored even after the completion of the construction and transfer of the object to the customer, supplementing the project library of constructive and technological solutions, which often speeds up work on new projects.
The history of the project, contained in the personal account, serves as a semblance of the genealogy of the house built. Such houses are then easier to find new owners - after all, a potential buyer can familiarize himself with the construction process, including hidden stages, find out what materials were used, and make sure that he is not buying a "pig in a poke".
Instructions for the exact implementation of the author's idea
The result of the architect's work is a built house, therefore maximum attention at all stages is paid to preserving the author's intention. In particular, in order to exclude the "initiative" of builders, "assembly instructions" are issued as part of the project documentation. A document, similar to those with which IKEA supplies its products, contains a detailed description of the technology for the production of construction work. Acceptance of the completed stages of construction is carried out according to the same document.
The control
The quality of implementation is guaranteed by a strict control system. At each stage of construction, engineering and technical supervision is carried out, it is carried out by specialists from the GOOD WOOD staff: during construction, ITN employees visit the facility about twenty times. Independent supervision is carried out by specialists from partners and third parties. Finally, there is an Administrative Standard Service to verify compliance with company rules and regulations. Service employees come to the facilities without any pre-agreed schedule and check the correct storage of project documentation, compliance with safety measures and order at the facility.
Legal support
GOOD WOOD specialists take over the registration of building permits, so that the architect and his customer receive a full-fledged, comprehensive solution to all problems of building a house. ***
Despite the fact that GOOD WOOD employs designers, constructors and engineers, the company considers itself primarily in construction and production. That is why they are very interested in cooperation with independent architects, and we are confident that this helps professional growth and development through the search for technological solutions for the embodiment of a variety of architectural ideas.
The houses built by GOOD WOOD with the maximum openness of the design and construction processes are houses of a completely different quality, with a 50-year guarantee for the main supporting elements: foundations and structures, as well as the roof. This includes both a guarantee of the satisfaction of the client for whom the architect designed the house and a guarantee of an excellent reputation for the architect.
