The rectangular block of the "Black Villa" Jan Skuratovsky and his bureau are compared to the "Black Square": it attracts and repels at the same time, it is abstract and cold, independent of its surroundings. It is a home for a wealthy art collector, a kind of self-contained hideaway where you can hide with your collection (solar panels and rainwater harvesting systems serve this purpose).
The villa is surrounded by a pond - it is both a medieval moat, which reinforces the association with an impregnable castle, and a swimming pool. The street crosses the building in the form of an access road, but the transparent gates with a golden pattern turn its "inner" section into an enclosed courtyard. It becomes one of the crossbeams, another geometric motive that is important for Malevich: he brings dynamics to the layout of the entire building. The cross unites service spaces: showers, storage rooms, technical rooms, etc. On the exploited roof (also known as a sculpture garden), the cross serves as a bench and a “flower garden”.
Another motif - a circle - is a spiral staircase at the full height of the building, uniting semi-private premises: the lobby, the library, etc.
The entrance area is located on the ground floor; this tier can be used for receptions or as a pool bar. In the underground level, it is proposed to exhibit video art and / or arrange a gym. The second floor is occupied by exhibition rooms and a common area (there are no corridors as such in the villa), above there are bedrooms and an office.
The concrete house is sheathed with solar panels on the outside, the window glass is also tinted dark. Only at night, from the inside of the homogeneously black villa, light will break through the small gaps.
