The seven-story building for C&P is located at the busiest entrance to the center of Graz, in a low-rise industrial area. Such a noticeable location, as well as the desire of the not so long ago established company to declare itself, made the Innocad bureau also act as the author of the "architectural brand". The Cubend concept (cube + bend, wholeness and dynamics) includes a shell that clearly interacts with a person - in contrast to the sealed industrial enclosures around.
Outside there is a concrete lattice, each cell of which can be protected from the sun by blinds: the specific ratio of open and closed cells is determined by the weather, time of day, season, presence of people in the room, etc. Further, there is a transition zone with gallery terraces, which serves as a recreational space in the warm season. The inner shell is made of glass, which provides the building with natural light and a visual connection with the surroundings.
The main role in the interior is played by the atrium, which connects all seven floors. On a total area of 2,465 m2, there is a lobby, a space for buyers with a viewing apartment, meeting rooms, an open-plan office, an event area. The plan is based on a rectangular lattice. The project budget, including furnishings, is 4.4 million euros.
