Bene's new wall system adds versatility to office spaces and opens up more possibilities for transparency and viewing from different angles
The R-platform is a smart building block for double-glazed office and corridor walls.
Bene's new office partition system is designed to modernize office space by structuring open office forms, creating spaces and simultaneously opening them up when needed. The functional and design variety of the R-platform provides an optimal combination of transparency and closedness, communication and concentration. The design is distinguished by clear lines and cubic shapes, creates an intriguing play of lines and planes in the room, captivating with its elegance.
The variety of options and the high degree of flexibility of the R-platform is due to its design, which is a stable rectangular frame structure with the ability to hang panels of different sizes, colors and materials. When reworked, this system is easily dismantled, and the use of shelves, storage boxes and hanging accessories allows you to turn the wall into a piece of furniture.
Variable wall
Storage elements can be attached to the wall at any height. Even tables from the entire Bene portfolio can be inserted into the seams. Thus, workplaces located near the wall are created, which saves materials and financial resources. As a cabinet wall, the R-platform creates a visually and acoustically protected space. As you can see, the organization of the wall space of the R-platform can be completely different.
As a classic fully glazed corridor wall, the R-Platform provides transparency and daylight to the center of the office. The corridor wall can also be finished with panels of different materials - over the entire area or in individual areas and create an easy-to-communicate possibility of viewing from different points and observation, varying degrees of transparency or complete enclosure. For the first time, the possibilities of integrating plasterboard walls into a complex wall system are provided. But at the same time, the visually transparent appearance of the wall is preserved - due to the use of the same floor and ceiling profiles and pilasters.
“When I was creating the R platform, I was looking for a formal code, a single feature for different elements designed to create and structure rooms,” explains designer Johannes Scherr. This is a 35 mm wide aluminum pilaster. It fixes the non-framed glass elements in the desired position, serves as a cladding for the racks and can run both horizontally and vertically throughout the room. The expressive appearance of the pilaster is emphasized by profiles in contrasting colors - black and white - or anodized aluminum.
Tolerant wagon
The R-platform reaches room heights of up to 4.00 meters and its wall thickness is 106 mm. The panels - depending on the material - are supplied in heights from 195 mm to the height of the room, in widths up to 2.40 meters. It is possible to create individual solutions using glass panels, from which it is possible to manufacture whole walls, side wall elements, glass roofs or skylights in any position - with double glazing with glass thickness of 6 or 8 mm. There are also various options for swing and sliding doors to choose from: from glass to fixed doors with or without superstructures. The double-glazed R-platform can also be equipped with horizontal blinds. They can be infinitely adjusted - manually or using electrical equipment. With the optional synchronous control, several blinds at the same height can be controlled simultaneously. Lamellas approx. 25 mm wide are available in black, white or aluminum.
The R-platform impresses with a variety of technical characteristics: it provides three levels of sound insulation quality with the possibility of their subsequent change - up to 48 dB Rw; the possibility of individual choice of seam heights, convenient electrification. An additional level of sound insulation quality is achieved by the combined sound-absorbing material class A / αw 0.9. This means that 90% of the generated noise is absorbed and only 10% is reflected into the room. The flexibility of the R-platform also manifests itself in the perception of building tolerances (+/- 25 mm) and movement of ceilings (up to 10 mm). This is achieved through a unique solution: directly under the column in the floor profile there is a telescopic mechanism that brings it to the desired position. This technical innovation allows not only to speed up the installation process, but also to carry out subsequent leveling under full load, for example, when a building subsides.
As a flexible design and thanks to its intelligent assemblies and connections, the R-platform can be easily combined with all Bene room systems. This building block allows you to create differentiated office spaces with rooms of different typology and character - an office where openness, communication, transparency coexist with restraint, individuality, and confidentiality. By the way: With a sound insulation value of 48 dB Rw, the R-platform meets the highest sound insulation requirements and thus creates a pleasant atmosphere. It’s impossible to imagine a better room.
