In 1969, the innovative composite material ALUCOBOND entered the market®: durable, lightweight, ductile, corrosion resistant and recyclable. Its appearance became a small revolution: a powerful production grew out of scientific development, the material itself fell in love with architects and designers, since it made it possible to bring the most daring ideas to life. Today ALUCOBOND® - a standard, a common noun, often so called any composite material made of aluminum, not only the original, produced in Germany by 3A Composites.

1889 - The Swiss company Alusuisse launches the first aluminum plant in Europe, gradually expands the geography of supplies, and during the years of economic growth, it innovates in the field of alloy development.
1964 - Alusuisse management forms a working group that examines the adhesion possibilities of aluminum sheet. The idea of optimizing material properties by combining different materials started a long series of testing and development.
1968 - A production line is launched in the German city of Singen and the market in the Federal Republic of Germany begins to develop. At the same time, the ALUCOBOND trademark was registered®, first in Switzerland and then in many other countries.
1969 - the first ALUCOBOND aluminum composite panels® officially released to the market.
1982 - ALUCOBOND® was the first material released in the fire retardant version FR (Fire Retardant).
1989 - production of ALUCOBOND begins® in a non-combustible version A2 (according to the European classification EN-13501-1).
It is important not only to become the first, but also to maintain the leadership that ALUCOBOND® and has been doing for the past 50 years.
