Frankly speaking, over the past 10-20 years, and perhaps for a longer time, a stereotype has developed that a restaurant in a landing stage is somehow not very stylish. Expensive, sumptuous, but as a rule pretentious and tends towards bad taste. Perhaps a certain role was played by the fight against the landing stages on the Moskva River: somehow they were not properly registered there and interfered with navigation. Meanwhile, the idea of a restaurant on the water itself is not that bad - let's take the same Venice, where terraces on the water are a common place. So the architects of the bureau with the not entirely clear name "New RACE" made an attempt to give the landing stage a modern architecture, white and laconic in its own way, and at the same time not to lose the luxury and emotional richness inherent in the genre, frankly speaking, the richness of impressions.
The restaurant is moored in the very center, not far from the city administration and the main Rostov cathedral - the XXS of the Don army, also built according to the project of Konstantin Andreyevich Ton. The embankment is carefully, in a Versailles way, landscaped: benches with high backs, lanterns of reflected light, many trimmed bushes. Extremely well-groomed, in the spirit of modern trends. According to modern rules, the name of the restaurant is also simple and even hipstreater, "Rice". Accordingly, it looks from the outside: white interfloor "slabs" (in fact, panels on a metal frame), indicate the whiteness of rice, wooden verticals, probably, hint at the chopsticks with which it is eaten in the East. Blue and white striped walls at the ends respond to water, read sea, although here, of course, river, theme. Entrance via the ladder to the second floor.

The restaurant is fenced off from the embankment with blank walls, technical rooms are located on this side, and a terrace is as open as possible to the river. The project envisioned a lot of fountain jets from under the feet of the first floor, but this idea, apparently, was not realized.

There are three tiers, the main one is barely above the water level, the second is made up of balconies, above the water for visitors, on the contrary, at the inner wall for a DJ. The roof terrace occupies about a third of the rectangular plan, leaving the sky above the heads of some of those sitting inside.

The interior, on the other hand, is exceptionally magnificent - rather in the spirit of the imagery of the Rake network, with flowers hanging from the ceiling and a multitude of textures and lighting. The DJ's balcony is adorned with the inscription: "the whole world eats rice", responding to it, the neighboring walls adorn the silhouette of the Chrysler skyscraper and the outlines of high-rise cities. The energy of the interior spills out in the evenings - in the form of bright multi-colored illumination (if during the day the restaurant looks like a pier and a little like a ship, then at night it looks like a Christmas tree), and also, presumably, with loud music.
