The task set for the participants of the competition is to offer a non-standard look at the display of Italon products on the example of a specific interior project.

Another goal is to find talented, creative-minded young architects and designers to work in JSC "Ceramic Granite Factory", which owns the Italon brand. Ten finalists will be invited for interviews. The project of the winner is planned to be published on the website of the competition and in the company's social networks.

The competition is called "CONCEPT STORE".

Works are accepted until February 17The winners will be announced on March 9th.

Test Project

Participants will be required to create a detailed design project for the Italon brand showroom. The room for him is relatively small, with an area of 120 m2, - located in the building of a shopping center. Inside, it is necessary to place a trading floor for a showroom, a reception and a meeting room for business meetings of the company with clients.

According to the organizers of the competition, the interior should with natural ease - “competently, orderly and interestingly” - demonstrate a wide range of Italon's offerings, creating a positive mood among visitors, as well as having a pronounced individuality of the author's solution and avoiding overload.

Two other important requirements are the combination of the originality of the proposed idea with the ease of implementation. A fresh, original project is required that significantly goes beyond the usual design standard for "tile shops" - but creativity should not entail technical difficulties.

The main task is defined as follows: "to create a space where the buyer will feel comfortable."

The terms of participation

Age of Contestants: up to 35 years old.

Geography: architects and designers who work on Russian territory.

Requires complete independence of the participants and the uniqueness of the concepts. Only completely new, unpublished works, developed specifically for the competition under its terms, are accepted. Only one work is accepted from each competitor, strictly corresponding to the conditions and form of submission.

Also, since one of the objectives of the competition is to find new creative employees of the company, only projects completed independently are accepted, group proposals are not considered.

Submission format

Projects are accepted for

the competition website in PDF format: 2 sheets of technical drawings, 3 sheets of project graphics are required: visualizations, plan, development; description - up to 3000 characters. Details on registration and conditions can be downloaded here.

Jury and criteria

The jury consists of Russian and Italian professionals, projects are evaluated according to: the quality of the display of the company's products in the proposed showroom space, modernity, practicality, functionality, as well as compliance with the requirements of the competition, completeness and clarity of the presentation of the idea.

Participation in the competition is free, there is no registration fee.

The first prize is 200,000 rubles

Italon organizes creative contests with different themes every year. In 2018, the participants designed a new generation summer cottage, Nikita Timonin became the winner; in 2017 we worked on the interior of the apartment, the studio of Mamaeva and Alekseeva from St. Petersburg won. The difference between the new competition is that the task is not limited to an example of the use of material, in this case, porcelain stoneware, in an architectural project, but is more practical in nature - to come up with a space for exhibiting and successful sales of products.
