Preparing and exporting an analytical model

Having tried this function on a couple of examples, I can say that it is very interesting and entertaining. JSON / Python API
This functionality interested me in the first place. From what I really liked:
• tangible increase in productivity;
• the ability to access Archicad from another point (if the Internet is available);
• open access to the development module (this greatly facilitates the process of learning how everything works “under the hood”).
So far, there is relatively little functionality. All we could do:
• request information about the location of elements, about their class and get their properties (built-in and custom);
• set new values for properties and classification;
• use several functions to interact with Archicad itself (to obtain technical information);
• interact with the View Map and Layout Book and use a couple of additional functions.
There are several more functions, but these capabilities are enough to cover a fairly large layer of tasks. In particular, it seems to me that with this functionality it is possible to solve most of the analytical, monitoring, statistical and web-tasks, coupled with the ability to influence the values of most properties.
The backlog, it seems to me, is very promising, and where full-fledged programming of add-ons in C ++ is very time consuming and difficult for most, script programming (in particular, in Python) can significantly simplify both private / local tasks and rather global ones. Built-in MEP
Nice addition that allows you to perform better import of the IFC model of engineering communications. Also, at the initial stages, it is convenient for the architect himself to model some basic backbone networks using the "right" tools. Egor Zakharov, CJSC PIRS Institute
