The Wienerberger Terca clinker brick is well known and loved by architects. It is appreciated for its quality, aesthetics and durability. It is produced at the Azeri plant in Estonia, founded in 1922. One of the brightest and most romantic examples of the use of Terca facing bricks is the Four Horizons residential complex in St. Petersburg by the architectural studio Grigoriev & Partners, which some publications called the most beautiful St. Petersburg new building of 2018.

For a huge residential complex in the style of industrial architecture of the late 19th - early 20th century with allusions to Scandinavian modern brick architecture, Wienerberger has produced and supplied an unprecedented number of bricks - 1.2 million. The architects have been looking for a suitable material for a long time and as a result settled on Terca Red Flame, as a result the beautifully proportioned and painted facade received a worthy embodiment and exemplary construction quality. Another example of the exceptional quality of Terca bricks is in Moscow. This is the residential complex "Malaya Ordynka 19" by the architectural bureau ADM. For him, Terca Cuxhaven clinker was specially made with figured elements that formed a complex and precious "wicker" surface.

Understanding the values and needs of architects, the Wienerberger concern has launched the Terca Nordic Klinker Line brick collection. Scandinavian, North German and Baltic architecture made of clinker bricks invariably delights architects with its stateliness and quality of execution, regardless of the style chosen. The Terca Nordic Klinker Line collection is inspired by Scandinavian nature with its rocks and lakes and Nordic brick architecture with its characteristic colors and surfaces. Actually, the types of bricks are named after the northern cities: Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn, Oslo, Narva and so on.

The Nordic Klinker Line collection combines seemingly incompatible elements. Thanks to an innovative method of plastic molding (extrusion), which simulates hand molding and Wasserstrich technology (water molding), it was possible to give the brick a velvety surface. At the same time, all the properties of clinker have been preserved. Unlike standard facade bricks, clinker has a lower level of water absorption (according to GOST it should be less than 6%, and in this collection it is 3%) and a higher strength grade (M600 - M800 with the required M300). Frost resistance and acid resistance also exceed GOST standards. These parameters are of great importance in the Russian climate with its constant temperature drops, clinker is not afraid of freezing and thawing, exposure to dirt and aggressive environment. Having retained decent quality and aesthetics, the specialists of the Wienerberger concern were able, which is important, to achieve an acceptable price. The cost of facing the facade of a house with clinker bricks will be comparable to the products of Russian manufacturers and almost 2 times lower in price than when using German clinker.

The Terca Nordic Klinker Line collection currently has eight colors, from cool brown to sand and shades of red and burgundy. In some models, the bricks are more uniform in texture, in others, different shades of bricks are included inside one model, and in some, like the Narva model, there are overflows of shades on the surface of each brick. In the future, the number of colors and shades will be expanded. The popular euro-format 250x85x65 mm is used. The brick is made without bevelling, which gives it a more natural look.

In some buildings, you can already see in detail what the Terca Nordic Klinker Line brick looks like in masonry on the facade in natural light. For example, the Gotland clinker dedicated to the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea is faced with the Nevsky residential complex in Moscow, which was designed and built by the Krost company. Bright, warm, velvety bricks of different shades of red and burgundy are shaded with white details made of fiber-reinforced concrete and green metal structures. Two brick buildings and a street colonnade with a "chandelier" in such an elegant red-white-green design greatly diversified the idea of multi-storey buildings. The variegated, lively brick surface humanizes even the tallest buildings.

The shopping center "Karavai" in Naro-Fominsk near Moscow turned out to be just as colorful. Here, green-yellow tiles and figured panels have been added to the Gotland brick cladding from the Nordic Klinker Line collection. Clinker Terca model Gotland covers not only facades, but also walls and pylons in the interior. In this regard, it is versatile and easy to use, as it does not require any additional maintenance.

The brick surfaces of the Stockholm and Tallinn models look more traditional. The latter is used in the building of a brewery in Klaipeda, it is successfully combined with black metal elements, together with them it creates an image of historical industrial architecture in modern processing. Brick is used here in window frames, as well as in arches, in places of false windows on the facade of the building.

The Stockholm and Tallinn models are characterized by gradation of tones within the surface of one brick. With their help, you can create a stricter, but at the same time no less noble and high-quality masonry for all times.

All bricks from the Terca Nordic Klinker Line collection are available in the Texture Generator service. With this tool, you can choose a texture, color and understand how the facade will look as a result. The Texture Generator is a smart tool for architects. To generate a texture, you need to select the type of masonry, the color of the jointing, set the thickness of the horizontal and vertical joints. You can also generate textures in BIM format. Opportunities are also available for a combination of products - for this, you need to select the required brick models and set the percentage of products in the texture. To download the resulting texture, you need to go through a short registration. The finished texture will be sent to the mail.
