Periphery resource
The competition is intended to collect proposals for improving the quality of the environment in the sleeping areas of St. Petersburg, built up according to standard designs in the 1970s-1990s. A part of the residential area of the Krasnogvardeisky district of the city and the adjacent coastal zone of the Okhta River were selected as a competitive plot. The Wheelwright Prize has been awarded to talented young architects who have graduated from Harvard University's School of Design since 1935. But for the ninth year in a row, the organizers have been inviting young professionals from all over the world who graduated from universities no more than 15 years ago to participate. The participant must be offered a program of practical architectural research to be undertaken outside his country of residence. The winner will receive a grant of $ 100,000 to implement their research project.
