House of 123 apartments Forma Itaim is located in the Itaim-Bibi area of São Paulo - the largest city in both the southern and western hemispheres of the Earth. In addition, this metropolis is the economic capital of Brazil, and there is a growing demand for housing for the upper middle class. Under the influence of this trend, Itaim-Bibi is gradually changing its one-story buildings to faceless, most often white, residential towers. Therefore, the customer immediately set a condition for the Barcelona architects of the b720: its 25-storey building must be colored. Glazed ceramic panels were chosen for the facades, where different combinations of stripes distinguish one tier from another.
The most dangerous sides from the point of view of solar radiation, the east and west, are made almost deaf, only panoramic elevator shafts go there. From the south and north, there are deep loggias-terraces that protect the apartments behind them. The ceramic cladding there turns into a kind of lattice screens that save residents from both the sun and prying eyes.
The elongated plan of the tower is the result of local restrictions and regulations, as well as the desire of the project authors for functionality. Apartments of a smaller area are placed below, while higher they become more spacious. At the base of the tower, where perforated panels are widely used, there is a ground three-level garage, a squash court, an indoor pool, a restaurant, a salon, etc. The exploited roof is landscaped, there is an outdoor swimming pool.
