Outwardly, the new creation resembles a project of a large house located on the opposite bank - the same wood trim, the same white rods. The composition of the volumes is partly similar to the symmetrical twins from the project called "development of the central zone" - at the bottom there is a stone box, onto which, like a snail, a more flexible volume, enclosed in its own shell, crawls. But the orientation system of this house is totally different from the aforementioned projects.
Despite the fact that the site is located near the pond, the water surface is almost invisible from it. Therefore, apart from the bay windows of the bedrooms, looking out in this direction, the authors closed the house on themselves. “Imagine a line in which all rooms are built, from the most open entrance group to the most private room, the master bedroom. It will turn out to be quite long, - says one of the bureau chiefs, Nikita Tokarev: to make it all fit on the site, we folded it in half and raised the private part to the second floor. " Thus, the bedroom turned out to be above the entrance, and the composition as a whole resembles a snake biting its own tail, the authors argue philosophically. The increase in the ceiling in the master bedroom is quite consistent with the image of a yawning snake head. The place for "crawling" was chosen in the living room area, which, as is customary now, is made with two floors. Moreover, the ceiling line is repeated in the staircase, which has become part of the living room interior. To complete the picture, it must be said that the "tape" did not include utility rooms: they are combined into a separate block on the ground floor - in fact, this is the foundation on which the upper part of the flexible "body" crawls, including the head-bedroom. The architects intend to decorate the lower block with stone not only outside, but also inside, in order to clearly separate it from the living space. Or alive?
Since not all the necessary office premises fit “under the snake,” the rest of it was removed to the basement. By the way, this is not the only underground room on this site - also underground, in a separate building, there is a swimming pool, marked from above by a small pavilion with a relaxation room and a terrace overlooking the pond. All buildings are connected by underground passages.
The authors decided to liken the room of the underground pool to a cave, so the water comes close to the walls from three sides. At the moment, the project has the idea of a special unit that will allow not to make a side-overflow along the walls, hiding it in their thickness. Natural light will enter the pool “grotto” through two small skylights. They will become decorative sculptures for the garden. Which completes the overall picture well: the garden by the pond, there are sculptures in it, a pavilion, a python is basking in the sun - terribly attractive.
