The art center, garage and shopping center are part of the Faena Quarter, which was built on an island suburb of Miami - Miami Beach - by Argentine developer Alan Faena. The complex also includes a completed hotel and apartment building designed by Foster + Partners.
The OMA bureau has kept all three of its buildings in a white color, perfectly matching the resort mood of the scene. Faena Forum is the most original building in the entire block. De facto an arts center, it is suitable for any event - from the placement of a temporary, pop-up restaurant, to the performance of concerts requiring perfect acoustics. It consists of a cylinder and a rectangular block with a black box type hall. The main entrance is located on the first floor of the cylinder, where a green area is located under a 14-meter console. From there, the visitor enters the lobby with an "amphitheater" of pink marble; the floors are united by a "serpentine" along the perimeter, they are completed by a dome with an oculus in the center. The Faena Forum load-bearing façade, cut through by asymmetrical windows, made it possible to dispense with supports in the interior. The total area of the building is 4000 m2, it is designed for a thousand guests.
Faena Park is an automatic garage for 81 cars; its facade with many regularly spaced round openings allows you to see the colors of cars, and the glazed end - the movement of technology and people in the interior. The first and last floors are occupied by shops; from the garage you can also get into the underground garage for 154 cars.
Faena Bazaar is a renovated Art Deco hotel. This mall, inspired by the oriental markets, will open in early 2017. New features include a courtyard and a penthouse terrace overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
