It will be located on Saadiyat Island, where a large-scale new district is currently being created - a center for tourism, culture and business. Along with numerous museums, including the Guggenheim branch designed by the same Gehry, it is planned to build various entertainment facilities there, including the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club on the Persian Gulf.
Along with the well-thought-out layout of the course, on the territory of which there will be lagoons and sand dunes, the Gehry building "in the Guggenheim style" should be of particular interest to golf lovers, as the customers artlessly define its appearance. According to the architect himself, it should be "a mirage hovering over greenery." While the project is at the initial stage of development, it has already been determined that the main ones will be wide terraces with glass canopies, softening the boundaries between the interior and the surrounding space.
The building, along with the actual club premises, will house a boutique hotel with 26 rooms, two restaurants, a spa center and a specialized store. The opening is scheduled for 2013.
