Vignoli, whose construction will be much smaller than the library, sustained it in the large, laconic forms characteristic of Pei's buildings, and also used similar building materials. The building of the institute will consist of two parts: the lower one-story tier made of concrete with deeply recessed openings, and the upper, two-story tier, faced with not yet specified dark material - there will be a copy of the Senate meeting room. The building will also house a variety of classrooms and exhibition spaces, also with an educational focus.
The architect paid special attention to the design of the entrance to the building: its rectangular volume in this place is complemented by two protruding triangular parts in the plan, and a kind of courdoner is formed between them. In the center of the façade there is a deep opening of the entrance to the vestibule, illuminated through the glazed ceilings.
Construction is scheduled to begin this fall.
