One of them is the new wing of the Crocker Museum of Art in Sacramento, not the most famous even in its native California, but one of the oldest in America (construction of its building began in 1869). In addition to the eclectic building, Guotmi added a building typical of his style, combining the principles of "modern movement" with an experimental approach of postmodernism.

The building is made up of simple geometric volumes; the most notable of these, a two-tiered glazed rotunda, contains a vestibule. The auditorium is located in the basement, the administration offices are higher, and the halls are located on the third tier. All together it occupies 11,600 m2, which is three times the area of the old building.

The facades are clad in white aluminum and zinc panels; "Scalloped" ceilings hide the natural lighting system of the halls.

Guotmi's second project, the University of Cleveland Student Center building, is more modest and more representative at the same time. The main façade of this building, rounded in plan, is marked with granite cladding; it separates the "brick" half of the structure from the "aluminum" one. Taken together, it gives a not very clear, but impressive impression, which is probably what the architects wanted: the building should become one of the key buildings of the campus due to its central position.

Inside, three floors of premises are organized around a spacious atrium. On 12 820 m2 of area there are public spaces, a conference center, shops and cafes, offices of student organizations.
