The building will be located on the edge of the former runway, and from its three levels will offer views of Hong Kong, its harbor and the Kowloon Peninsula. Sunlight will penetrate the entire premises of the building thanks to the four atriums. The pedestrian "alley" will connect all the tiers of the terminal and end on the roof, where the park will be set up: the townspeople will be able to arrange a picnic there, sit in an outdoor cafe or hold a banquet.
The terminal is designed for the largest liners, including new generation ships, whose projects are still being developed. It can accommodate 8,400 passengers and 1,200 crew members at a time. At the same time, exhibitions, concerts, etc. can be held in the inner space of the building with a span of 70 m, which will allow the terminal to be actively used even in the off-season.
