This "mobile toolbox" is called the BMW Guggenheim Lab and is due to visit 9 major cities in the world in 6 years. The first stop will be New York, where from August 3 to October 16 this year, the "laboratory" will host a series of lectures, round tables, film screenings and banquets - for all these events, the architects have provided special configurations of the "laboratory" structure that can be easily transformed into each other.
The structure will be made of carbon fiber: the lower part will remain practically open, like a Mediterranean loggia: this is where all the events will take place. Upstairs there is a storage for the necessary equipment, which can be seen from the outside - through the mesh walls.
A café will be opened nearby: in contrast to the high-tech BMW Guggenheim Lab, everything there will be made of wood.
