The festival of landscape objects "Archstoyanie" will begin today in the Kaluga region. This year, a shed was chosen as the starting point for the flight of architectural thought, which in its simplicity has been brought to the state of a proto-object. In the spring, the jury headed by Alexander Ermolaev (it was he, of course, who suggested the theme of the proto-object) chose 9 worthy sheds as a result of a competition, and now sheds are being built in the Nicholas-Lenivets park "Versailles", arranged by French architects two years ago. In addition to this wonderful mix of French and soil, the guests of the festival will find a collection of "archival" objects that have filled the fields and forests near the Ugra River over the past years, as well as music and dance art performances, craft shops and even "camping in the seine" as a tool to get acquainted with real rural life. Meanwhile, in the Tula region, on a completely new Archfarm, objects of the next festival "Cities" are being built under the motto "Unusual Practical", which will be shown to the audience on August 6.
A light breeze will blow on Wednesday, August 3, in a small Baltic town, where the IV International Latvian Festival of Architecture, Design and Yachts Baltic Breeze 2011 will open. The main attention will be paid to the creation of music venues by the water, the announced theme is "Music on the Water for Salcgriva". Within the framework of the festival, a number of exhibitions will be organized, contests and workshops will be held, as well as the conference "Seaside Cities: Challenges and Prospects for Culture, Sports and Tourism".
