Facade Systems and Structures, a façade work subcontractor, has started to install ArS material on the façade of the building of the organizing committee of the Olympic Games in Sochi.
The client and the architects chose the Oxide Perla color for the "DESIGN" collection - an iridescent pale gray with a silvery oxy-print. The DESIGN Oxide Perla collection perfectly matches the belts of glass on the façades of the building, reflecting the bright southern sun and sending thousands of sparkling sunbeams around. And the hydroxy effect on the Ars panels resembles the spray of the surf of the Black Sea, which is nearby … The architects made the right choice!
Large format 1000x3000 mm. with a thickness of 3+, as a result, the low weight and ease of processing of the Arch-skin slab made it possible to use ceramic granite as filling the cells of the stained-glass structure in the blind parts between the floors. The material was cut to size at the ARCH SKIN production facility according to the Customer's specification and delivered to the site, the total volume of delivery is 3,400 sq. M. panels.
This solution allows you to achieve a single plane of the glazed and blind parts of the facades without any untested solutions, all used elements of the post-transom structure of the stained-glass window are standard.
Now, instead of the usual solution of installing double-glazed windows with painted glass or sandwich panels in the interfloor area, we see a beautiful and technological design using non-combustible, environmentally friendly, frost-resistant and durable Arch-skin material.
Arch-Skin Ceramic Panels are easy to install and easy to use. Any surface: floors, walls, window sills, steps, slopes and even ceilings will look great after cladding with ArS. The material is easily processed to any size and is suitable for finishing and radial surfaces.
Collections of the Arch-Skin material by colors and textures are always available at the company's office on Paveletskaya.
The Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee complex will be located on the territory of the Olympic Park of the Imeretinskaya Lowland.
The architectural concept of the building is based on the criteria for certification of environmentally friendly, "green" buildings and fully complies with international standards for "green" construction. The useful office area of the complex is 18,500 m². The total area of the building is about 250,000 m².
The project received an international environmental certificate BREEAM.
Also at the 2011 eco-innovation competition, the office building project for the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee won in the nomination "Best example of creating a barrier-free environment"
