Rockwool, the world leader in energy-efficient stone wool solutions, together with the ArchMoscow exhibition of architecture and design, are starting to accept entries for the Energy-Efficient Projects Competition "Home for Life in Balance with Nature 2014".

To participate in the competition, it is necessary to submit to the jury a project of an energy efficient residential building. The main requirement is that the project must have low energy consumption, be feasible and affordable.

The Low Energy Architectural Design Competition has become a tradition for Rockwool: this year it is being held for the third time. This year, we have slightly complicated the requirements for projects, mainly in the field of working out the technical specifications, since the calculation part, the inherent energy saving, is very important. And one more innovation - at the stage of choosing the finalists, the participants will be given the opportunity to personally defend their projects in front of the jury. We hope that this will greatly facilitate the selection of the best works,”comments Tatyana Smirnova, head of the company's Design Center.

Architects - authors of projects of country houses are invited to participate in the competition "Home for Life in Balance with Nature". Basic requirements for the project: area no more than 350 sq.m. and the cost of construction (with interior decoration and engineering) no more than 45,000 rubles / m2. The project must have a low energy consumption not exceeding 60 kWh per m2 per year.
