The terminal itself is only the first stage of a giant complex with a total area of 120 thousand m2. It will host the largest cruise ships from Asia. An administrative building of the port with an area of 53 thousand m2 will appear next to it, and another office building (23 thousand m2) will be erected as the third stage.

The terminal is a flattened 250-meter plate elongated along the sea: this shape of the building was dictated by the configuration of the site: its depth is only 55 m. The linear organization of the plan reflects the peculiarities of the circulation of a huge passenger traffic - the Jilong port can receive up to 10,000 passengers of cruise liners per day … All port services are distributed over three levels of the building. The body itself is somewhat raised above the ground on "legs", ie. Arrivals and Departures are located at +7 m, and the shopping gallery and pedestrian promenade are at +13 m.

The building has several atriums that cut through the roof with large openings made of polymer membrane: incoming sunlight is reflected in the depths of the building from shiny perforated steel panels. In its northern part, the terminal "grows" into a tower in the shape of the letter L, in the console of which there is a panoramic restaurant. This console, in turn, becomes a bridge connecting the terminal building with the future administrative and office complex. Due to its expressive form, it is the tower that has become a "symbolic" element in the project and is read as a kind of gateway to the port.

At the base of the tower, the promenade that runs through the entire complex forms a loop: here it connects with all other directions of movement of the pedestrian level.

The giant office building, which is also planned to house a police station, a post office and a weather station, reaches a height of 70 m and is a multi-storey volume looped around the courtyard. "Deformation" and "perforation" of the volume, the arrangement of numerous consoles are determined by the direction of the sea winds and panoramic views.

The building "reveals" its greenish core through openings from the street side. The interfloor voids-balconies, facing into the courtyard, turn out to be the same green.

The implementation of this "mega-project" worth US $ 211.5 million will begin next year. The terminal is scheduled to be completed by 2015, office buildings by 2017.
