The ORGATEC exhibition, which traditionally brings together manufacturers of interior products from all over the world, will be held in Cologne from 23 to 27 October 2012 and will bring together about 700 suppliers from more than 40 countries.
NAYADA's stand will display five “executive offices” designed by leading Russian architectural firms. So far, these are five of the planned 12 author's ideas. The second stage of the project is to involve architects from other countries in the design of the offices. To date, negotiations have already been held with them.
The fact that the creation of furniture was entrusted to architects was explained by Dmitry Cherepkov, General Director of NAYADA: “Their fundamental approach to solving problems of organizing space, a three-dimensional vision of all aspects of the operation of the finished object, the optimal balance of aesthetics and practicality, complemented by a bright personality and high craftsmanship, helped to make the project interesting for connoisseurs of not only beauty, but also solidity, thoughtfulness and quality."
The projects are interesting not only for their volumetric-spatial and ergonomic solutions, but also for the choice of material for their implementation.
The prototype of the ABD'Vise project by Boris Levyant and Irina Prisedskaya from the architectural company ABD Architects is a snowboard. The table has an effective edge - a large-radius arc with a smooth slope towards the seated person, which creates maximum comfort in the contact zone. The table seems to "bend" under the owner on the border of interaction, but remains rigid and even in the working area. A similar effect is achieved due to the specific technology of wood processing. Neither in Russia nor in Europe have there been such decisions yet. These are thin layers of different types of wood collected together, which are connected into a monolith under a certain mode of gluing and cooling. In addition to improved technical characteristics, the final material acquires a peculiar bright and contrasting pattern from alternating layers of light and dark wood. The shape of the table top allows you to make several functional compositions - a table, a table with an attachment, a double table, a meeting table.
The project "O-24" by the Meralstudio architectural studio, developed by Evgeny Polyantsev, is based on the consideration that a modern manager is at work 24 hours a day. The opposition of white and black, straight and broken lines - all this symbolically conveys the meaning of the image. The crosshairs of horizontal, vertical and inclined surfaces form many convenient multi-format shelves and niches that will help to optimally organize the workplace.
The collection of the author's project by Sergey Tchoban and Sergey Kuznetsov (Speech Tchoban & Kuznetsov) combines the characteristic features of purism and the style of free forms: the orthogonal configuration is harmoniously complemented by curvilinear details. Volumetric elements of furniture (cupboards, cabinets, drawers) are made light and have clear rectangular shapes. And the countertops and vertical surfaces are made in the form of a wide dark tape that braids the frame, rounding its corners.
Totan Kuzembaev in collaboration with Dmitry Pismanik presented the Victoria project. There is no central subject in this project, which is the core of the space. Here, both the wardrobe and the tables are equally significant and weighty. The details of each piece of furniture are thought out in such a way that each book in this study has its own shelf. The high consumption of material and the complexity of manufacturing automatically transfer these items to a separate class of furniture. The manufacturing technology of the table material, both in Russia and in the world, is unique. Despite the fact that there are Western analogues of such material, the LEPOTA factory managed to improve it, making it much easier.
Vladimir Kuzmin (Project Group "Pole-Design") has developed a manager's office called "Profile". This is a laconic shape in the form of a stylized I-beam. It is so simple that it becomes a symbol. "I-beam" serves as a table, and if its reduced copies are stacked, you get a spectacular rack. To implement the idea, a super-material was used - carbon, which provided the necessary lightness and clarity of the solution. This composite material, belonging to the class of carbon fiber reinforced plastics, is used in the construction and automotive industry. But in interior design, this material is used primarily as a decorative element, and previously, carbon was practically not used to create pieces of furniture.
At the LEPOTA project furniture factory, which is part of the NAYADA group of companies, by the end of 2012 all the presented cabinets will be put into serial production.
