Lafarge, a leading international manufacturer of cement, aggregates and concrete, Saint-Gobain, a world leader in construction products and innovative materials, Schneider Electric, a global expert in energy management, and A_PRIORI PROJECT, a Russian design bureau signed an agreement of intent for the design and construction of energy efficient houses in Russia.
The partners have already begun work on a pilot project - one of the first energy efficient houses in the Moscow region with a maximum heat consumption for heating no higher than 35 kW * h / m2 per year. The project has successfully passed the approval stage, the start of construction is scheduled for May 2013.

The responsibilities of Lafarge and Saint-Gobain within the project will include support for the development of a construction project, expert advice, measures to prevent the formation of temperature bridges (also known as "cold bridges"), calculation of energy efficiency indicators and expertise in construction materials.
Schneider Electric will, among others, be responsible for energy management, including power distribution, energy analysis, fire alarm and video surveillance, building management and power automation, cabling, and wiring and lighting automation.
The design bureau "A_PRIORI PROJECT" will develop the architectural concept of the project and act as the general designer. Together with project partners, the bureau will participate in the selection and approval of building materials and technologies. All participants will provide their catalogs of products and services for use in the implementation of the project.
