The author of Burj Khalifa and Saudi Arabia's planned 1000-meter Kingdom Tower, Adrian Smith, designed the Imperial Tower for Mumbai. This tower should be the tallest in the city and one of the tallest in India.
The building with a slender silhouette (at a height of 400 m, its area will be 76 thousand m2) will receive numerous balconies and "heavenly gardens": these niches should "entangle the wind", breaking air currents and reducing the load on the structure. The streamlined shape of the tower will also contribute to this.
The facades will be protected from the sun by special lamellas. It is planned to plant only local plants in the gardens and on the "podium" with green facades. In addition, rainwater and gray water will be widely used.
The tower is planned to have 132 apartments ranging from 195 m2 to 1115 m2 (such a dwelling will completely occupy two floors).
