The Fisht Stadium in Sochi is considered a complex and unusual facility. Its architectural concept was developed by architects and specialists from Russia, Great Britain and Switzerland.
To date, all the main elements of the roof have been installed, the frame of which is assembled from metal elements. At the same time, glazing, installation of doors and windows is being carried out at all levels, large-scale work continues on the finishing of walls, ceilings and floors in the rooms under the stands.
To create the most comfortable temperature and effective protection against noise when insulating partitions and the space under the stands, heat-insulating materials were used ISOVER Frame-M40, ISOVER Frame-M40-AL and ISOVER Sound protection.
For the convenience and safety of spectators, the 36-meter-high bowl of the stadium was divided into tiers and sectors with separate entrance groups. There are 32 sites for photographers and cameramen. More than 800 seats are designed for people with disabilities, about 1500 for media representatives. The upper tier will house commentator's booths, which have a direct view of the arena and are equipped with equipment for on-line broadcasts.
The construction is scheduled to be completed in September 2013, after which rehearsals of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics will begin at the stadium.
