In the plan, the building is an elongated rectangle, the central part of which is reserved for a multifunctional open-plan space. It is intended for holding club events of various formats, and on the sides it is flanked by service premises - bathrooms, changing rooms, kitchens.

The volume is oriented strictly along the east-west axis, and its initially flat roof is lowered by architects from the south to the ground, and from the north, on the contrary, it is lifted up by a 7-meter "wave". Due to such a difference in height, the roof of the club turns into a tribune, from which up to 200 people can simultaneously watch the game on one of the open courts of the club. In addition, such a roofing solution allows to reduce the glazing of the southern facade and, thereby, to protect the inner premises of the club from excess sunlight in summer. Adequate natural light, in turn, is provided by the towering roof to the north facade of the building. Facing Lake Hey, it also serves as a guide for spectacular views of the water surface.

In the interior, the concrete frame of the building will be covered with FSC-certified wood, and the facades and roof will be clad with EPDM, which in its color and texture resembles the coating of the adjacent courts.

The building permit has already been received from the Amsterdam authorities. It is expected that in the summer of 2014 the tennis club will host the first amateurs of this sport. For MVRDV, this sports complex will be the eighth building in the capital of the Netherlands.
