In October 2013, the results of corrosion resistance tests and assessments of the service life of three-layer sandwich panels (TSP) Agrarium, Industrium and Sterilium were announced. The materials were developed in 2012 by Metal Profile (the leader in the production of roofing and facade systems in Russia) for use in various industrial facilities. The results proved the durability of the operational and aesthetic properties of sandwich panels and determined the service life of steel with protective and decorative coatings used in DSP cladding in 15-35 years.
The studies were carried out by the National Research Technological University "MISiS" in environments with varying degrees of aggressiveness: variable temperatures (from + 60C to - 60C), exposure to liquids and salt fog.
According to the test results, the interior cladding of Agrarium panels is recommended for use in moderately aggressive and aggressive environments in buildings of a livestock complex (poultry houses, pigsties, cowsheds, including slaughterhouses).
Internal and external cladding used in TSP of the Industrium series can be used in a moderately aggressive and aggressive environment at industrial facilities: metallurgical plants, chemical plants, pulp mills, oil refineries, as well as nuclear power plants, swimming pools, car washes, train washes, fertilizer workshops and mushrooms. Industrium sandwich panels are suitable for both southern and northern regions of Russia. The service life is set at 35 years.
Sterilium series RTPs are recommended for use in enterprises with a controlled environment and sterile industries (pharmaceutical laboratories, operating rooms, premises for the production of microelectronics), as well as in potato storage facilities, fruit storage facilities, cheese mills, dairies, etc. Sterilium is predicted to last 15 years.
