The main feature of the complex of two identical plate towers is the retractable sun protection devices covering the facades. "Umbrellas" 14.5 m in diameter can fully open and close within a minute. At the same time, their shape resembles carved mashrabiya lattices, traditional for Islamic architecture. This is how the architects responded to the customer's condition - a mandatory reference to Arab architecture.
Thanks to this sun protection system, it became possible to equip the eastern and western facades with completely transparent wide glazing strips, unusual for the Middle Eastern climate.
In addition, it was proposed to install powerful LED lamps on the "umbrellas" of the western façade, turning it into a screen measuring 220 mx 220 m. It can be used to broadcast programs from the companies that own the complex.
Courtyards are planned nearby: when the towers shade them, they are open, and when the shadow shifts, they are protected from the sun by flat square umbrellas (6 m side).
Public areas (conference room, exhibition gallery, etc.) are located at the bottom of the towers and are easily readable from the outside.
