Practicing architects and engineers of construction specialties, author teams of design organizations, which may include representatives of related professions, as well as students of specialized universities, are invited to participate in the competition.
The "Facadeometry" competition is held with the aim of finding and formulating new functional and aesthetic architectural ideas that maximally reveal the possibilities of facade plastering systems used in modern construction and reconstruction of residential and public facilities. To encourage the authors who proposed the most interesting design solutions, a prize fund of 1,000,000 rubles was established.
This year the competition is held in the Projects and Buildings sections in the following nominations:
- "The best facade of a residential building."
- "The best facade of a public building."
- “Renovation. New facade for old architecture”only in the“Buildings”section.
The winners of the competition in the declared nominations will receive 200,000 rubles each. The best works will get to the final of the International Ceresit Fasade Award 2014!
Contestants can use wet façade technologies in their projects, including the Ceresit plastering system and the VISAGE collection of protective and decorative finishing compounds, developed by Henkel Bautechnik.
The organizers hope that with the help of the VISAGE collection of finishing materials, the contestants will be able to develop truly new and striking architectural solutions. All materials in the VISAGE collection are compatible with the Ceresit façade plastering system and provide architects with great opportunities to reveal the idea and form an interesting, memorable architectural appearance of the object.
The materials included in the VISAGE collection have no analogues on the Russian market: they are distinguished by enviable durability and allow you to simulate many color and texture effects on the facade.
The use of decorative and finishing compounds VISAGE allows you to simulate the surface of brick and masonry, the pattern of wood texture, the texture of sandstone and granite, and even obtain a luminescent plaster coating. Decorative varnish with opalescent effect or Metallic paint can give additional aesthetic properties to the facade.
The organizers of the competition are confident that the unique possibilities of the new facade systems will be reflected in the projects of the architectural competition "Facadeometry", and remind the participants that the entries are accepted from April 1 to September 15, 2014.
The architectural jury will consider projects for the reconstruction and construction of residential and public buildings, completed within the last two years, provided that the plaster finish occupies more than 50% of the total area of the building facade.
The announcement of the results of the competition and the award ceremony of the winners will take place at one of the architectural events in 2014.
