The largest event in the construction industry in the Middle East and North Africa - the Big 5 exhibition - was held in Dubai from 17 to 20 November 2014. According to preliminary data, 2,747 participants took part in the exhibition, the event was attended by 74,854 visitors from 124 countries.

Big 5 is the largest trade show in the Middle East, providing an effective platform for cooperation between manufacturers and buyers in the construction industry since 1979. At this event, the latest technologies and equipment are presented - from metal structures, heat and waterproofing materials to air conditioning systems and municipal equipment. The topic of environmental safety, the choice of methods for energy conservation and water management is widely covered.

A wide range of roofing and waterproofing materials for various fields of application was presented at the TechnoNICOL stand:

  • rolled bitumen-polymer materials TechnoNICOL: self-adhesive, with anti-root protection, as well as materials specially designed for "hot countries";
  • LOGICROOF polymer membranes for waterproofing roofs, underground structures and swimming pools;
  • collection of laminated bitumen shingles SHINGLAS Jazz and Country, as well as the STANDARD series, popular in Turkey and southern regions of Europe.

The information content of the handouts, the effective work of TechnoNICOL employees at the stand, interesting souvenirs did their job - the stand was very popular among the visitors of the exhibition. An interesting event at the stand was the visit of Sheikh Maktum, who even before the start of the working day visited several exhibition pavilions and, among other things, greeted our company.

During the exhibition, the TechnoNICOL pavilion was visited by a large number of heads of the largest construction companies, designers, architects, representatives of trade firms. Everyone could get answers to all questions of interest and choose the necessary material for their needs. According to the results of the exhibition, 220 questionnaires of the most interested visitors and potential clients from both the UAE and neighboring countries (Saudi Arabia, India and Kuwait) were processed.

The special interest of the guests of the stand was aroused by APP modified and self-adhesive roll materials, which are used for both external and internal waterproofing of buildings. In addition, an interest was noted in the soundproofing material for interfloor ceilings, which was in great demand among both construction specialists and representatives of interior decoration and interior design companies. Visitors appreciated the wide color palette and variety of shapes of SHINGLAS bitumen shingles, thanks to which you can not only install reliable roof waterproofing, but also create a unique image of your home. The guests were also interested in LOGICROOF polymer membranes, which are used for roofing and waterproofing buried and underground parts of buildings. Visitors to the stand highly appreciated the physical and mechanical characteristics of the material, the variety of colors and thicknesses of the roofing membranes, as well as the availability of a special membrane LOGICROOF White with an increased coefficient of light reflection in the assortment, which is very important for hot countries.
