TechnoNICOL continues to implement the strategy of strengthening the company's position in the international building materials market. After the purchase of the Italiana Membrane plant in 2013, TechnoNICOL acquired 100% of the shares of the Imper Group (IMPER ITALIA SpA), which includes two companies Imper Italy (IMPER ITALIA SpA) and Eurodue (Eurodue), owners of well-known Italian brands in the segment of waterproofing materials for industrial and low-rise construction.
For more than 50 years, the Imper Group has been successfully operating both on the national and international markets for waterproofing and polymer building materials. The company's production facilities are located in Mappano - Turin (waterproofing membranes) and Marano Ticino - (synthetic materials TPO and PVC). 40% of the company's products are exported, the export geography is more than 35 countries, the key export countries are Ireland, France, Israel. The Imper Group ranks second in Italy in terms of production of TPO and PVC membranes for roofs and tunnels. The enterprises of the group produce a wide range of bitumen-polymer roll materials, oriented both to hot countries and to countries with cold climates. The range includes weldable, self-adhesive and even thermoactive materials for waterproofing bridge, materials for creating ventilated roofing, vapor barrier, anti-root and soundproof roll materials, primers for surface preparation, protective and reflective paints for the upper layers of roofing carpet, as well as thermal insulation panels and plastic drainage membranes. Turnover of IMPER ITALIA S.p. A. in 2014 will amount to approximately 38 million euros.
Under the terms of the deal, the Imper Group will retain the full workforce, brand portfolio and range of manufactured materials, in addition, the operational independence of the company will be ensured. Combining the potentials of the two largest manufacturers of building materials in the field of production technologies, procurement of raw materials, assortment policy will allow both companies to gain additional advantages and provide their customers with a new level of service and a wider selection of high-quality and modern products.
