The building is in stark contrast to the surrounding traditional buildings. It is interesting that the current owners of the house got a plot of 0.32 hectares in a very neglected state, with thickets of bushes and an abandoned house, which was nothing of itself. And now the volume of the new house is at the disposal of the entire plot. In plan, it looks more like two letters i, connected by a glass gallery, rather than a classic square. A double-height lobby with a skylight and a stained-glass wall overlooks the park from the lobby itself.
The building seems to float above the ground, thanks to the panoramic glazing of the second floor and symmetrical stone plinths on the ground level. One of the authors of the project, Arseny Leonovich, says: “More often, Nikita Tokarev and I produced more plastically complex compositions. We implemented rather sculptural solutions with some holes or bulges. In this case, we have made a graceful "decorated barn", not a manifesto in the form of a sculptural form. As a result, the house is clearly zoned, functional and landscape oriented. " The living space is divided into two wings: the left one is a private area, the right one is a public one. The entire second floor has access to large terraces. Interestingly, the living room is traditionally located on the ground floor. Here it is located on the second, from where a picturesque view of the treetops and the valley of the Isar River, a tributary of the Danube, opens. On the ground floor there is also a hall, guest rooms, a swimming pool with a spa. And on the second floor there is a living room, a master bedroom, and even a kitchen.
A German architectural firm took part in the work on the project, which brought it into line with German norms, coordinated and prepared the working documentation. Arseniy Leonovich reports: “The idea and implementation coincide practically one-to-one. It's nice that every drawn detail has turned out. True, this is very typical for Europe”.
Work on the project began in 2010. At the moment, the interior decoration is being completed, where Asian-African elements dominate in an interesting combination with European minimalism. Gradually, the interior turns into something warm, ornamental, with carpets, upholstery, sculptures and works of contemporary artists from Africa and Europe.
