This spring, the opening of the VTB Arena Ice Palace took place in Moscow. The most anticipated palace with an area of 69,000 m2 includes three ice arenas. The main arena has a capacity of 12,100 people. Moreover, large and small arenas are transformers. This allows, in addition to hockey matches, to hold competitions in other sports, as well as various cultural events - concerts and exhibitions.
Inside the arena, there are not only venues for events, but also a leisure and entertainment complex: this is a museum of hockey fame, the Walk of Fame of Russian hockey, a water sports complex with an Olympic synchronized swimming center, a business center, a complex of apartments and a four-star hotel with a major congress. center. The spectacular mirrored part of the facade imitates the surface of ice with scratches from the skates, and the opaque part of the facade looks perfectly flat and smooth thanks to the Qbiss One modular facade system.
The primary task of the project is to revive the greatness of the stadium, return it to its former glory and thousands of regular spectators. The arena will host matches of the 2016 Ice Hockey World Championship, in addition, it will become home for Dynamo Moscow, as well as for the Hockey Legends veteran team.
