The events that took place on October 28-30, 2015 were initiated by the Department of Fuel and Energy Facilities of the city of Moscow and NP "AVOK". Within the framework of the exhibition, innovative technologies for the functioning of life-supporting systems of the city economy were demonstrated. Among the key issues of the conference are the issues of energy saving management in the Russian capital, attracting investments into the industry and wider use of energy efficient technologies.

One of the important issues of interest to investors, builders, developers is the return on investment of energy efficient buildings. Today, an obstacle to the introduction into mass construction practice is the widespread misconception about the high cost and long payback period of such construction. Calculations carried out by experts using the example of the energy-efficient training center "Academy Saint-Gobain" show that the payback period of energy-efficient technologies and materials is on average 15 years, after which these solutions begin to make a profit. And operating costs are reduced immediately due to the rational organization of the most important building systems.

Kirill Paramonov, ISOVER technical specialist, introduced the audience to the experience of Saint-Gobain in the design, construction and operation of energy-efficient buildings in the climatic conditions of Russia. According to the company, the theory and practice of construction in this segment of construction do not always coincide - in order for the building to meet the criteria for energy efficiency, it is necessary to fulfill a number of requirements. “In Russia, with its challenging climatic conditions, it is not easy to achieve energy consumption targets for an energy efficient building. However, the Saint-Gobain Academy proves that the correct choice of energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies and materials, in particular ISOVER heaters, in combination with the creation of a professional project and compliance with building standards, make energy-efficient construction a promising direction in Russia. Due to the strict observance of all the parameters laid down at the design stage, the Academy building managed to reduce energy consumption by more than four times, which was confirmed in the course of research in the field of multi-comfortable construction in Russia, carried out jointly with the Research Institute of Building Physics (NIISF RAASN).

The participants in the discussions noted that the problem of increasing energy efficiency today is one of the key ones for the balanced development of Moscow's infrastructure. At the same time, a significant part of the reduction in energy costs, up to 22%1, falls on the construction complex. To fully use this potential, the capital's construction complex must be able to use modern high-tech materials.
