The ROCKFON company, specializing in the production of acoustic panels based on stone wool, has summed up the results of the ROCKFON Concept of ceilings, acoustic, life competition. Participants of the competition were invited to design interiors of public buildings, in which special attention is paid to creating a favorable acoustic environment. To implement their architectural and design ideas, the contestants had to use ROCKFON products in their projects.
The competition was attended by architects, designers, as well as students of specialized universities. The innovative projects of most of the participants were highly appreciated by the jury, and the main criterion for determining the winners was the originality of the interior project.
Within the framework of the competition, five nominations were announced:

- The best interior of an educational institution:
- The best interior of a medical institution;
- The best interior of a sports facility;
- The best interior of an object in the leisure and entertainment industry.
Despite the fact that the company organized an architectural competition for the first time, the participants presented very interesting, extraordinary works, and therefore there were two winners in the "Best Office Interior" nomination. The founders were satisfied with the results of the competition, and in the future they plan to regularly organize similar events.

Within the framework of the project, several functional premises were developed: a recreational hall, an office space, a manager's office, a meeting room, a conference room. The interiors are made in a modern style, smooth flowing forms are combined in the project with strict straight and sharp lines. For wall decoration, the author suggested using metal and polymer coatings, for finishing the ceiling - ROCKFON Mono sound-absorbing panels, with which you can create a variety of geometric compositions. The monolithic ceiling serves not only as a decorative function, but also contributes to the creation of a favorable acoustic environment in workspaces.

The draft office interior design was developed for an already constructed two-story building in Rostov-on-Don. The planning concept is based on the principle of "flowing spaces". The premises include: a manager's office, a workspace for employees, a meeting room, a reception area, an entrance area, a cloakroom, a kitchen and a resting place, a workshop, a pantry. The ceilings in the offices are proposed to be made of modular decorative Ligna panels imitating the structure of wood; the partition between the meeting room and the workshop should be finished with wall acoustic panels ROCKFON Color-all®, the ceiling above the entrance group - to be realized with the help of Sonar modular panels. In the open office space adjacent to the reception, the ceiling is decorated with ROCKFON Eclipse screens® and LED lamps. The kitchen ceiling is finished with Sonar modular panels, and the walls are finished with Koral panels.

Renovation of a school library in Novosibirsk

The goal of the project is to transform the school library into an information center that is generally accessible and comfortable for a variety of social groups. There is a music school in the immediate vicinity of the library, therefore the use of ROCKFON products is extremely important in this project. The author suggests using ROCKFON Color-all suspended ceilings® (edging A24, dimensions 1800 x 600), as they meet the hygienic requirements, they have a beautiful appearance. In addition, within the framework of one series, the manufacturer produces panels of different matching shades, which was successfully used in the project. Implementation is scheduled for summer 2017.

The interior of the reception and waiting area should be comfortable both visually and acoustically, since one of the most important tasks of these rooms is to relieve psychological stress from the patient. ROCKFON ceiling tiles improve acoustics and help reduce noise. Ceilings finished with solid ROCKFON Blanka panels® (D edge, dimensions 1800 x 600 x 20, RockLink System D mount, white) and ROCKFON Hygienic Baffle acoustic baffles® (Multiflex edging, dimensions 1200 x 450 x 50, ROCKFON System Baffles®).

The arena is designed for mass sports, cultural, entertainment and business events. The structure of the buildings is a reinforced concrete frame with girder floors. The supporting structure of the roof is a system of suspended steel space beams. The transparent roof rests on a central spatial beam in the form of an arch. The overlapping of the circular foyer is represented by steel trusses of a complex profile, resting on reinforced concrete columns installed along the perimeter of the building. The interior is finished with ROCKFON materials such as sound-absorbing wall panels and modular ceilings.

The interior design of the foyer and auditorium of the drama theater provides for surface finishing with natural materials: glued wood and stone. In addition, the walls of the auditorium will be finished with ROCKFON slate slabs and wall panels. ROCKFON suspended ceilings will also be used in both the foyer and the hall. The project provides for a contrasting combination of materials and colors: wood and stone, warm and cold shades. Thus, the author managed to create an original color and texture solution and add theatricality to the interior.
In October 2016, the winners of the ROCKFON Concept of ceilings, acoustic, life will travel to Italy for the Venice Architecture Biennale, where they will have a chance to become the winners of the competition's super final. The prize will be a grant for a one-year course of study at any architectural educational institution of the Russian Federation or participation in an international architectural master class.
