The long and scandalous history of the construction of the new building of the city philharmonic in the port of Hamburg is finally over: it took nine and a half years to implement the project, its budget managed to grow from 77 to 789 million euros. This weekend, the "plaza" - a terrace at the junction of the brick and glass parts of the building, cafes, bars and restaurants, as well as a hotel and a garage - will work. The concerts will begin in three halls of the Philharmonic, as announced last February, January 11-12, 2017. The famous engineer Yasuhisa Toyota, who was in charge of acoustics, successfully completed the inspection of these premises, and the first rehearsals have already begun there. The attendees are reported to be delighted with the acoustic quality of the halls.
