Residential complex "Krona" in Stavropol receives tenants. The project is unusual for Russia: it is interesting for its European approach. When traveling around Europe, you can see, in general, ordinary boxes of buildings, roads with the same brands of cars, but they are different, and the point is not only that they are all clean. The differences lie in the details.
One such detail in buildings is frameless glazing. Brusnika understands this very well and, what is important, they can implement it. The Krona quarter is a confirmation of this.
Inviting Polish architect Grzegorz Petszak, head of the international bureau Aedas, and using the Lumon system with Stopsol Phoenix glass, the company erected a residential complex with loggias, which, one might say, are at the peak of their "evolution" for Russia.
In the old days, loggias and balconies were made mostly open, and residents glazed them each in their own way - due to their own capabilities, skills and ingenuity. The facades turned out to be colorful, sometimes with high-tech elements from the body of a bus or trolleybus. To overcome this, developers began to rent houses with glazing already installed by default. However, frame glazing with numerous divisions only streamlined the diversity, making numerous balconies and loggias similar to typical cells. Everything is different in the Krona quarter.
The project was launched by the construction company Brusnika-Yug LLC, which has been part of the Brusnika group of companies since 2014. The developer is known for an innovative approach to construction, the management involves European architects and designers in their projects. It is not surprising that the Stavropol quarter "Krona" corresponds to the level of the most modern European housing. New settlers in Stavropol get the comfort and technical equipment of apartments similar, for example, to new settlers in Helsinki.
The idea of large balconies covered with mirrored glass belongs to the bureau Aedas. Frameless glazing allows the use of spacious balconies all year round. Mirrored glasses let in sunlight and hide what is happening on the loggia from prying eyes. This successful technical solution made it possible to dilute the massive clinker facade with glass and create the illusion of large windows.
Frameless glazing does not interfere with the light flux, letting it through completely, but at the same time fresh air penetrates inside, and air exchange in the apartment is not disturbed, and the sun's rays warm the air on the loggia in the cold season. Thus, glazed balconies perform the functions of climate control. It is very important that panoramic glazing does not obscure the view of the sky and the landscape of the courtyard created by Dutch specialists. Glazing also reduces noise levels in the adjoining room.
The size of the loggia allows you to put furniture there, equip a recreation area where you can take a nap and read a book; there you can install exercise equipment or plant a garden. The presence of storage rooms in the basement areas of the complex allows you to use the loggias for their intended purpose: seasonal tires, skis, sledges and other things traditionally stored on the balcony can be kept in special rooms without light and temperature drops. The sun and fresh air are completely taken over by people.
LLC "Brusnika-yug" chose Lumon designs from three available options. Decisions were made on the basis of technical documentation and test glazing of loggias. Lumon beat the competition with great aesthetics, quality fittings, smooth running and superior installation quality.
The subcontractor for the installation of frameless glazing was the Stavropol company OOO Stroyresurs. The company is focused on high quality production and the use of the latest technologies. All work was completed on time, despite the fact that the painting of the profiles took a little longer than planned.
According to the chief architect of Brusnika, Ivan Sukhikh, architecture influences the model of human behavior, his character: “We mean by aesthetics not some decorative elements, not objects of art on the facade. The aesthetics of our architecture in functionality and quality of solutions. And at the same time, architecture must coexist with the city, with nature, with the spirit of the place”(source).
The new complex with a new standard of quality of life, with a new approach to organizing space in Stavropol is an example of architecture that changes people for the better, uniting neighbors, stimulating both children and adults to active sports activities.
